Title bar:This is located at the very top of the screen. On the Title bar, Microsoft Worddisplays the name of the document you are currently using. At the top of your screen, you should see 'Document1 - Microsoft Word 2010' or a similar name. When you first open Microsoft Word 2010, you will notice a new look to the menu bar.

With Microsoft Excel on the screen, pressing the ALT key takes you into the menu Bar. You can move along the menu bar by use of the left and right CURSOR Keys. Alternatively you can use the shortcut keys described after the menu name below.

Once you have selected the Menu item required, use the UP and DOWN Cursor keys to choose the option you require. Press the RETURN/ENTER key to activate your choice.

FILE (ALT+F) - This is where you can 'Open, Close, Save and Print' files.

EDIT (ALT+E) - This is where you can 'Cut, Copy, Clear, Select All' your Worksheets.

VIEW (ALT+V) - This is where you can view and change 'Toolbars, Headers and Footers' on your Worksheets.

INSERT (ALT+I) - This is where you can insert 'Date and Time, Page Numbers and Pictures' into your Worksheets.

FORMAT (ALT+O) - This is where you can change the presentation of your Worksheet.

TOOLS (ALT+T) - This is where you can 'Check your spelling and grammer on your Worksheets.

Data (ALT+D) - This is where you can Sort your Data and many other options on your Worksheet.

WINDOW (ALT+W) - This is where you can split your screen.

HELP (ALT+H) - This is where you will find the Microsoft Help System.

When you have finished with menus, you can either press the ALT key again or press the ESCAPE Key which is the top left-hand key.
